Best Review: Truglo Red-Dot Tru-Brite Open-Dot Multi Blk Box, Black - This is a great sight. I have it mounted on my AR-15 and have taken it shooting twice about 400 rounds of .223 through it and the sight seems to hold zero very well even with the higher recoil of the rifle. This sight actually mounts to my flat top picatinny rail and cowitnesses perfectly with my rear magpul pop up sight and the front A2 sight post. Doesn't need any kind of riser to cowitness if you have a similar setup. The brightness range works well, 2-3 works well in dark shooting ranges, the 4-5 brightness works well outside. I like the different reticles to choose from a small moa dot for long range, medium moa dot for medium to long range, and the two different circle dot reticles would work good for up close. Shoots very accurate groups both from bench and standing positions. Sighted in very easily at the range, if you are going to co witness, i just looked through the rear peep and put the dot right on the top of the front post, shot it and it was dead on, so if you co witness this dot you can sight it in without having to fire a shot. The construction seems to be very rugged, solid metal body, mount, and hood. Now this is no eotech or aimpoint sight, but at a savings of 400-500 dollars, this red dot sight does the job and does it well. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for an affordable, and good quality red dot. I have seen a few reviews of this sight being put on pistols and .22 rifles, so I wanted to let people know that it works just as well on the higher power rifles too.**Update**Hello all, I have now had this sight for about 10 months now and I still love it. It still holds zero very well with very little maintenance. Still have yet to replace the battery. Have used it several times indoors, outdoors, even out on the ocean in full on daylight with no problems seeing the reticle. Have several thousand rounds of .223 and .22 ammo through my rifle using this scope and she keeps on working without any problems.**Update**wanted to do another update on this optic, was out shooting in the woods, when the sight failed me. The scope just stopped working, tried changing batteries, but that was not the issue. Luckily Tru-Glo has some of the best customer service around. I wrote them an email, they had me mail them the scope and about a week later they mailed me back a brand new scope in packaging. Tru-Glo stands by their products, which is always a the sign of a good company.
